I personally have not had any bad experience with the Fairburn Police Department nor the Police Officers Male Or Female. I have called them on several occasions and they responded to me very quickly and they took care of my situation. Many mornings I wake up, many afternoons when I'm home, many evenings when I'm home or coming home and many times after midnight before I call it a night I look out my window and I see a Police Officer sitting in front of my door for whatever reason. That makes me feel very Safe knowing that. Many times I see people's running the stop signs, traffic lights and speeding next thing I know here's Fairburn Police Car where it came from I don't know all I know too me they are doing a great job in Fairburn. We as a Resident and Business Owners in Fairburn when we see the Police Officers greet them by saying Thank You! They don't have too know why you are thanking them unless they ask and you don't mind sharing why. There are times I speak or wave to them and there are times they speak or wave back and there are times they don't however I'm thankful for them regardless. I been working and living in Fairburn Ga going on 4 years and Personally I Believe That The Polices and The Police Department In General wants to keep The City Of Fairburn A Safe Place To Live And A Safe Place To Work. What more can you ask for!!! We As A Resident And Business Owners Need To Do All We Can To Do Our Part As Well. From One Of The Tenant Of Ashford Town And Country On Clay Street.

Response time is dangerously long. Called them out to a serious car wreck where the car was destroyed. Literally 1 mile from the station. Took them 18 minutes to arrive. And when they got there the officer was super rude.

Today I experienced an extremely unfortunate event because of ONE man employed by the Fairburn Police Department. See, three months ago, my nearly 3 year old daughter passed away. The next month my insurance policy was cancelled and being so deep into my depression, I had no idea that I'd lost coverage. So when I was pulled over today, I was completely unaware that my policy had lapsed. What happened next is the real kicker: Officer Jean Harold Astree heard my story, and without an ounce of compassion he ordered me to get out of my vehicle so that he could impound it. He was absolutely ruthless. He could have easily had some empathy for my situation, maybe allowed me to call my insurance company to reinstate my insurance right then and there. But NO. The law is ruthless and doesn't care if you're in poverty or are in extreme distress. He didnt care. Not one bit. Stay far away from Fairburn, the police there are heartless and dedicated to meeting their quotas.

Pulled over for an expired tag. The officer would not allow me to call my own tow company. Instead, I was forced to use a company of their choice. Mind you, this companies rates are double the other company I wanted to call. The officers excuse? \I don't have time to wait on your tow truck.\ 30 minutes later and the officer is still waiting for his tow truck to hook up. OH, AND THERE WERE TWO OFFICERS THERE. Glad to know our tax money is going to excellent use!
