They had a realy good sale going on, on wreaths and decorative flowers, even a sale on fall items.
So I on Friday 9/6 I purchased a Cricut machine for my girlfriend's birthday from a different location. When I gave it to her I discovered I had purchased the wrong item. (I'm not that familiar with crafting stuff) Fast forward two days: We came in to exchange the item. The cashier was very friendly and tried to accommodate us but the item we wanted wasn't there. We looked at he website and saw it there so we went ahead with a refund instead. (Not knowing that you can't purchase items from their website). We were given a refund card instead of a cash or refund back to our card. Immediately after allowing he refund the manager on duty called the store I purchased the original item at to tell them we were thieves. Now I no longer have the item I purchased and I have a refund card that both stores in my area refuse to honor. They effectively stole 200 from me. Even though I had the unopened item, receipt, debit card I paid with, and produced photo ID. I'm sure I am on camera buying he item as well.
I love AC Moore. The prices are great and you can find almost any kind of craft item. Plus the employees are always friendly and helpful.
I enjoyed being in a craft store after living overseas for the past three years. It does seem to offer a lot here; kids crafts, soap making, baking, baskets, scrapbooking, ribbons, frames, construction paper, craft paper, stickers, water colors, paint, supplies for painting, etc. The staff seemed few and far between. No one on the floor to ask if you had a question but Alex at check out was super nice. He seemed to be the only one working. They do have a rewards type program that gives you 25% off your first visit and 5% each time after: we are military and their competitors give us 10% off each time so not sure if I will opt to do that for 40/year. I know I will frequent this store but they did not have a lot of stamping options or dies and that is what I use. The blue light specials were monetarily helpful too. I recommend this store if you need a general craft item. If you want a specific name like Hero Arts, Whimsy Stamps, or Lawn Fawn, elsewhere might be a better option.
I find A.C. Moore to be a exceptionally fine place for crafts. For myself, children and mature adults. As one who likes to indulge in crafts, A.C. Moore has plenty one looks for. Thank you. Although at this location, they may be understaffed at times. Hence the four stars. All and all, good job A.C. Moore, keep up the good work.
Place seems big and holds a lot of stuff, and yet I can rarely get what I need here. They have so many things in different sizes and colors, and yet they never seem to have the size and color of whatever I'm looking for. Also, they never have enough registers open, and there's always a long wait. The organization of the items causes me to spend way too much time looking for things here. An example is: I was looking for glitter glue, and I found glitter glue in THREE separate isles. This is the kind of dis-organization that always has me walking in circles for 20 minutes longer than I should whenever I come to this store.
It's a great place to find crafty things to make if artsy stuff. It's full of tons of different things that you can use. It's one of my favorite stores and once you walk in there's this scent I can't describe but it smells amazing.
