Today was my second visit with Dr. Hallivis over the course of several years. He is excellent at diagnosing issues and explaining them in a way that is comprehensible. He is also exceedingly thorough. My appointment today was about an issue I am having with my one foot but while I was there I pointed out a concern with one of my toes that my dermatologist has not been able to figure out. Dr, Hallivis immediately knew what the problem was. Also, as an aside I arrived on time and did not have to wait. That was true for my prior visit as well. I highly recommend him if you are having any problems or concerns with your feet or ankles.

We took our daughter (in college) to see him. He was very pleasant, as well as the staff. We were pleased with the outcome.

Dr Hallivis seems very competent but I decided not to continue going to the practice because his support staff/front desk people are so incompetent. I've never had one appointment that wasn't a major hassle for one reason or another.

Absolutely horrible customer service/receptionist! Booked an appointment AFTER I confirmed with my insurance that I did *NOT* need a referral, since it was an ER follow up. An hour after I made the appt., I get a call from this office telling me that I need to get a referral before my appt. I called back and before I could even get a word in to explain that I had called and sorted out the referral issue, the receptionist went on and on and on, telling me I had to get this referral or my insurance wouldn't pay for it. When she eventually let me talk, I explained that I had called my insurance earlier, and they confirmed that ER follow ups DO NOT REQUIRE A REFERRAL. The receptionist wasn't hearing any of this though, as she proceeded to tell me I was wrong, how it's on my insurance card (no, really?!), I HAVE to have a referral, etc. Way to leave a great impression on this medical office by having your receptionist argue with a prospective patient. I then asked if she wanted my insurance to call her and confirm, or what else she wanted to show proof that they WILL cover the services without requiring this referral. She still insisted I needed the referral. For crying out loud. -_- I give up. Long story short, I told this annoying receptionist to cancel my appointment, as I'll take my health elsewhere. If this is the kind of person this Dr chooses to represent him, I don't think it's a good indication of the office in general. Here's a suggestion: train your receptionist to be personable, listen to patients and not just immediately argue back, and maybe sound a little less monotone? Referral obsession aside, I've never heard such an unenthusiastic receptionist.

Dr Hallivis was able to make my very complicated situation easy. He was extremely acommadating in getting my surgeries done in a schedule that worked for me. He kept me well informed and educated me alone the way to exactly what was happening and what was to be expected next. a huge thank you to him and his entire staff.
