My son really enjoys his teachers, his friends and all of his time at school. With plenty of outdoor space and thoughtful safety protocols I feel good when he is there. I didn’t know how much I missed preschool art until I started seeing it again!

We could not be more pleased with the loving and nurturing environment both our children receive at ChiCeLaCu at the new Falls Church campus. Both of their preschool teachers are not only experienced and knowledgeable but caring, funny, and love what they do. My children were yearning to be with others so badly, missed learning in a formal school environment, and craved routines and structure eagerly. The pandemic has been so hard on so many families. We feel so blessed to have found what I refer to as "a little piece of heaven" for our children. They not only adore their teachers, but the Spanish immersion curriculum is top notch. My 5 year old son's fine motor skills have grown tremendously and my 3 year old daughter is growing positively in her social and emotional development. And these are just some highlights, my children come home everyday singing and dancing to songs they are learning, describing their adventures in the open air playgrounds they have, and look forward to going to school everyday. We are incredibly thankful for the small number of students in the class, it has allowed us to foster supportive friendships and establish communication among each other in order to keep our families safe and healthy during this pandemic. The school has well-established Covid precautions and we feel confident their commitment to their staff's and students' health and safety. I am a long standing early childhood educator and I can wholeheartedly say that if you are looking for your child to gain a community of close friends and learn in a caring environment, please call ChiCeLaCu, you will not regret it!

Update 09-24-2013 After multiple reminders and multiple emails, the school is not returning our deposit and also not providing tax receipts. I am just frustrated with this 'I dont care' attitude. Reducing the stars to 1 now Updated 08/20/2013 Its been 2 years since my son is going out there. This place has its pro and cons. I think pros are mentioned below. Lets talk about cons. 1. They are very short in level of teaching to prepare for K. I have many friends and they kids are able to read a story book before entering K. Lately, its turned out to be more like a day-care then Pre-School honestly. 2. Old facility - This place has frequent AC issues, and overall is old building feeling. They do keep it clean, but the facility itself is old for one to look at. I am not worried much about old facility but they should hire or train teachers to raise the bar on teaching aspect. Previous review 5 Star My son just started going there. The place has many kids, probably around 70 of them. The classrooms are clean and teachers are nice. My son is vegetarian and the food options for vegetarians is pretty good. Unfortunately, he doesn't eat and their rule is not to push/help the kids in eating so he comes home hungry. I heard from someone else with similar issue. Plus he is not use to drinking cold milk or juice. I guess its more of a problem for my son rather than the general population. The daily report is high level but the teachers are there to answer questions everyday. It really preps you for elementary. My son is going full time there currently. Daily activities are definitely very good and he likes them. I do recommend this pre-school to anyone.

Upon moving to the Vienna, i struggled with child care - most were expensive and the ones that were not expensive were sketchy. I put my 2 children in a "ok" place with some reservations. When they had been there for about 9 mons. my spidey senses were on fire and i started looking for other options. and I fell in love! I LOVE St. Luke's. Ms. Sherry is impressive - she helped create/used to work on creating curriculum for Fairfax county. She runs a tight ship - sets high expectations and is very clear with both parents and teachers of those expectations! Both of my girls LOVE the school – they have excelled in scholastics, behavioral, and socially. My daughter is prepared to enter Kindergarten adeptly and my other daughter is on track with her peers. I also love that the school is multi-cultural I only wish they would open an infant room (note: they start at 2.5yr old). You won’t go wrong keeping this on your list of pre-school’s to visit.
