Great food and selection of beer. I love the corner tables too just like a traditional kitchen of the old days. They have a great selection of baked goods too. I have been here a few times and each time the food has been authentically great tasting. The staff was friendly, the pastries are also great! must try

This place is legit! We came here for mittagessen on a Saturday and the very nice lady who I assume is the proprietor greeted us immediately with a heavy German accent. We were offered the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. I got the impression they were willing to cook us whatever we wanted. This bakery/restaurant sits in a small strip mall but once I walked inside, I felt that I was instantly transported to Deutschland. I share a unique bond with this place as my older brother is named Moritz after the Max and Moritz books. While I wanted to order one of everything on the menu, a simple curry würst sounded just great. Of course a true test to any German restaurant in the US is how their kartoffelsalat tastes.. I was not disappointed and the curry würst was excellent! I really felt a sense of pride from the owners walking into this place and the food I was served was cooked with pride and love. I will definitely return!

Ok, I have eaten their food here and it's pretty good but the yellow hazelnut cake is boring. I can tell they do not use real butter and no vanilla. Butter and vanilla will give it flavor. Whoever made it must have used oil. Oil has no flavor. Please use real butter and real vanilla in your cakes.No, I will not be getting it again. Nooo flavor. Just because something looks pretty does not mean it will taste good. It's not real bad but it's not great either.

You all notice that NO-ONE from management nor the owner ever responds to ANY of the comments here. That means they do not care and need to learn to say thank you when a good review is left AND address the comments about the needed improvement comments. To NOT respond...is this a German thing or a Lazy thing?

We visit when we can when passing through. Our first visit we bought baked goods. The cake I got melted in your mouth. My husband got the chocolate chip cookies and said they were good. I also got him apple strudel, which was also good. This trip we made time to come for lunch. I got the sauerbraten, which was good, the sides were very good too. My husband got the ham sandwich, which he felt was not worth 7.75 - it had one slice of ham and one slice of cheese, and the cheese was thicker than the ham. So that will go on the list of what not to order again. The meals are reasonably priced. We also bought a loaf of bread, cookies, and cakes to take home. Service is very good. We will stop in again the next time through North Carolina.

Unassuming location, towerwing quality of food and service. Don't you dare skip the superb desserts. Worth a big detour to visit.

My friend and I went for lunch and had the Jagerschnitzel it was delicious! We will definitely be back. You must try their potato croquettes.
