It is a great place for retreats & conferences. I have spent a lot of weekends there for a formation program that I was a part of. The meals were good and the rooms were more comfortable than many retreat places I have been to. Very nice.

Peace radiates from the Good Shepherd Chapel, kindness greets you at the table, and beauty surrounds you on the grounds. A lovely, heart-opening setting for retreat and formation.

It's a beautiful place to get away for quiet reflection.

The property is beautiful, however, the food and the customer response left much to be desired. Some of the food was a month outdated, the quality was poor and the serving was inappropriate (butter pads were served on warm tray). I ended up ill. I phoned the local manager. The next time I was scheduled to attend at Palisades I asked to be able to bring my own food and eat it in the dining room, since one cannot have food in their room. I was told that was fine by the seminar administrator. The day before the seminar was to start I was informed I could not bring food and hence lost the reserve payment I'd made on the food and had to cancel my position in the class. This was the decision of the Deacon who was the local manager. What a disappointment. He was not at all helpful.

The retreat center is surrounded by all of the best of the northwest, saltwater views and surrounded by a forest. The staff are always professional and helpful. The atmosphere is intended to promote reflection and introspection. The rooms are intentionally somewhat spartan, and quite comfortable.
