I think the Rangers here need to realize that they work for the taxpayers and the national forest belong to the taxpayers. Don't be going on a Barney Fife power trip. You're just the hired help. Most Rangers are outstanding folks. Everybody knows the ones I'm referring to.

I just called to get a permit and the women who answered the phone was extremely rude and hung up on me when I told her what I needed and then I called back and she did the same thing! Extremely rude! I don’t even know if I should call back because she might hang up again!

I called with questions about ascending Humphrey's Peak. The woman that answered the phone was very friendly and helpful, and even offered a suggestion. She spent several minutes answering my questions, and not once did i feel that she wished i would finish. To summarize, a very friendly and helpful staff. Ron
