There is no other place in town to go for heavy duty driveline work. They do other things as well, but for decades they are just the place to go if you need this kind of work done. Greg in the back - - - building driveshafts - - - none better and probably been there twenty years so you know he knows what he is doing; Ty in the front is another vetran of the business that brings his knowledge into play. Every person they have is friendly and competent. Parking lot has plenty of room.

The employees at Florida Powertrain & Hydraulics are friendly, knowledgable and helpful and the prices are fair and reasonable. I have a 1988 Chevrolet van with a 4X4 conversion. The transfer case is one normally found in a Ford 4X4 pickup. I needed to replace the input shaft in mine but didn't know which part to order as the input shaft for a Ford or a Chevy application is not the same. I talked with C.J. on the phone. A super-nice guy. Next, I brought my old, worn input shaft down and James (an expert) took some measurements and ordered the correct replacement shaft for me. I had also brought the rest of the "internals" from my disassembled transfer case with me. Tim, the shop foreman, inspected them and advised me on which parts were serviceable and which ones should be replaced. A few days later, my replacement input shaft arrived. Excellent service, friendly, knowledgable and helpful staff and good prices. I highly recommend Florida Powertrain and Hydraulics.

I have had multiple driveshafts repaired and built by these guys. Always top quality work. recently had a front driveshaft resized and rebuilt for a custom jeep application. I had a vibration after installation and THOUGHT it was the driveshaft. Took the shaft back where CJ and the staff checked it over and verified that the shaft was straight and balanced. After that I found the source of my vibration and corrected it, the jeep now runs smooth at all speeds. These guys are professionals and act accordingly, even when I came back and falsely accused them of substandard work they politely and quickly checked it over to prove to me the shaft was built right. They did this without hassle to stand behind their work, customer service at its best!

Had to get my rend end overhauled in my 40 foot motorhome, this work was performed by Tim Robbins in the truck shop and was done to perfection. Great place to have repairs done.
