Great place to visit during the spring and summer months. Educational programs for kids and affordable admission and parking. During the fall and winter months, there’s not much too see but administration is free and it’s a nice please to go for peace stroll. You’ll often find older folks doing tai chi in the mornings and dancing routines towards the middle of the day. Restrooms are always relatively clean and the staff is always friendly and professional.

I loved this garden. It felt very cozy and relaxing. The garden is perfect. It has a great variety of flowers and many gardens. There are many benches to relax. Everyone wore their masks and were friendly. The parking fee is 8 dollars. There’s a vending machine and snacks are limited to nut bars and Cheetos. There are a few Chinese restaurants right outside the main entrance so you can step out and come back in or you can eat in the park. Tickets have to be ordered online and is free on Wednesdays. Definitely worth it.

I don’t think it’s fair to grade this botanical gardens harshly because it doesn’t compare to the others New York. For what it is and especially for the price it’s still a remarkably spacious and beautiful place to spend some time. And at six dollars per person you really can’t go wrong compared to 20 dollars for entry to the Brooklyn and Bronx installations.

The Queens Botanical Garden is next to Flushing Meadows Corona Park on Main Street in Flushing, Queens. You can get there by bus or subway though in both cases its a bit of walk from the bus or & train stop. Its a bit confusing when you get to the entrance to the Garden- the parking entrance and attendant is also for walk ins. This Garden is open now despite the pandemic as it is outside, except for the visitors building. The roof of that building is open and gives you a great view of the area as well as explanations about \green roofs\. Unlike most of the places that have reopened, you don't need to make a reservation in advance, so its a great thing to do on the spur of the moment when you are looking for something to do. It takes about an hour or two to walk the entire garden though I see that many peoples stay longer, siting in one of the gardens, resting, relaxing and meditating. If the weather is nice, the Queens Botanical Garden is a great place to go and is highly recommended.
