I have waited until now to write my review. I purchased my Dockmate in August 2020. As with most marine companies my inquire was answered in a timely fashion. However, that is where Dockmate set their selves apart. I have looked at every joy stick controller on the market for my C40 Carver. Brian returned my call, answered my question and guaranteed me that I would be happy. We went over my concerns and set up the installation date and time. The installers arrived on time and completed the installation in a timely fashion, leaving the boat in pristine condition. Instructions on how to use the Dockmate system was a breeze and with in 1 hr the unit was programed to my needs and I was operating it like I had owned it for years. The Dockmate system has made docking and anchoring a one person show. I love this system, Gary MacKenzie

The process from ordering to installation was smooth and efficient. The Dockmate unit works well.
I installed Dockmate TWIST on my new 50' Galeon to give me the flexibility of maneuvering my boat around the dock and tight areas since my wife is not an experienced boater. After some short time using the the Dockmate TWIST I can tell you the system is quite intuitive and easy to use. Most of all it came in very handy during an emergency situation this past weekend. While on board, just my wife and I, I was raising my anchor from the bridge helm station and my windlass system failed. Instead of the anchor coming up it continued to fall and feed more anchor rode. As this was happening I grabbed my Dockmate and while heading for the bow I turned it on. Conditions were 10-15 knot winds so now I am drifting as the anchor continues to feed rode out. I was able to use my Dockmate to maneuver the boat all while tightening and working the windlass to secure my anchor. Had it not been for my Dockmate I would have not been able to get out of there since my wife does not operate the boat yet. Just a great system to have and as I found out, it's great for emergencies when you have to be in two places at one time!!!

I was fortunate to meet the fine people at Dockmate USA at the Fort Lauderdale Yacht Show. I was considering a competitor’s product for my 2020 Sirena 58, but after seeing the dockmate in action I was sold. It is head and shoulders above any other similar product. The joystick controller allows for precise, variable speed control of not only the engines, but also the bow & stern thrusters. In addition the windlass and horn can also be controlled, making single handed operation a breeze. This is a system that can be custom designed for your particular yacht driving preferences. With a simple sea trial and their computer control system they can dial in the dockmate to perform exactly as you want it to. Other companies claim variable control, but what you get are some preset settings, not true variable control like the dockmate offers. The icing on the cake is the great people and customer service at Dockmate. They are very knowledgeable, helpful and always available to answer questions and make the experience as easy as possible. I highly recommend the dockmate product and even more highly recommend the great people at dockmate USA.
