Wonderful Happy Place! I am so happy to have found it. Doreen and her team are awesome, I look forward to my dance lessons, it’s a very good workout, it keeps my posture straight and helps me lose weight. At the same time, it relaxes me and help me reset my mind. Many people tell me they have two left feet and they can’t dance, that is not true. I have seen people start are horrible dancers, then become unbelievably good! gained a lot of self confidence and lost a lot of pounds! I highly recommend this dance studio to anyone looking for a way to exercise and have fun at the same time.

The studio is gorgeous and all of the staff and instructors are fantastic! Every single person was super friendly, genuine and knowledgeable. They do a lot of free community events as well, great for all ages, they have a kids class as well as couples. A great place for all skill levels and interests. I highly recommend giving them a try!

There is now a Fred Astaire Dance Studio in WELLINGTON!!!! I couldn’t be happier! I’ve been a part of the Fred Astaire family for a few years, and I am a true believer that Wellington is blessed to have this group of people as the hearts behind this new studio. Doreen, Tanya, and Michael never fail to make you feel welcome; and there’s no greater group of instructors who have the natural ability to allow EVERYONE to feel the magic dance has to offer, no matter what your skill level may be. Ana and Carlos are newer to the FADS world, but are nowhere near new to dance! These two bring a beautiful flair and style to ballroom, and in the short time I’ve known them, they truly make me feel so warm every single time I walk through the studio doors. It is a joy to step into this studio, and I would highly suggest if you have ever (even for a second) wondered what it would feel like to step into the world of dance, THIS the studio to be in. :)

5 STARS JUST IS NOT ENOUGH My husband and I just had our complimentary dance lesson and it was the BEST time we’ve had in years! Doreen was so patient and kind. We laughed so much while we learned the basics of 4 different dances!!! We were really nervous before we went. As soon as we walked in the door we were immediately put at ease by the owner of the studio, Doreen. She greeted us with a warm smile and relaxed demeanor that completely made us feel like we’d been friends for years. This vibe continued throughout the entire lesson. Before we knew it we were dancing around the floor laughing and accomplishing dance steps that we never thought we’d be able to do before we walked in. There was no question that we wanted more. We are now official members of the Fred Astaire Wellington family... and that’s exactly how we felt... like members of the family. Our 15yr old son will be taking hip hop lessons there as well. All of the instructors have the same patient, easy way about them.. We have our next lesson in a couple of days and can not wait! Doreen also hosts events regularly that are open to the public. I went to one the other night that was geared to support local small business owners. Thanks to Doreen, this dance studio is accomplishing so much more than just teaching dance, it is helping to bring the local community closer together. I’m so grateful to be a part of this amazing studio.

This place will take you on a wonderful journey of self-empowerment and also keep you in shape! Doreen Scheinplug, the owner is a beautiful person who goes out of her way to offer guidance, inspiration, and support. Tanya Chaves, the manager is also a professional Ballroom dancer, instructor, and amazing motivator. My assigned instructor, Michael Chaves (also Tanya's husband) was so patient and made me feel so comfortable even when I I mixed up steps! He made me laugh, smile, and dance away my worries. At the end of the lesson (which came too quickly), he complimented me on my progress. He wanted to know which of the dances did I like the best? I wanted to say "this smile will not leave my face" and " I will be dancing to my car" but instead I settled on, "all of them". And I did dance to my car after that lesson! Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, this dance studio has charisma and grace. The studio is clean and lively and the staff are the embodiment of dedication and professionalism. Check them out!
