Wow! If you like a dining 'experience' you will not be disappointed! The most amazing food and the atmosphere makes you feel like you have been transported to Morocco! This is a must restaurant to visit!

My wife and I have been having 90-minute weekly private lessons with Stéphane for two years and we have had a great experience. Our lessons roughly break down into three parts and cover the three areas that we had requested. First, quoi de neuf : we chat about the past week, current events, what we did over the weekend, what is coming up. Then we review the grammar homework that Stéphane assigned us the week before. Finally, we read aloud and discuss a magazine article that Stéphane has selected for us. While Stéphane is serious about his teaching, he has a great sense of humor that makes the learning fun.

Having studied French at places ranging from the University of Chicago to the Institut de Francais in Villefranche-sur-Mer, I have to say that the French Community of Portland has created a truly distinctive learning environment. It's lively, energizing, intellectually engaging -- a place where you cannot fail to learn a lot, improve your French, and simultaneously have a really great time! It's like getting University-level instruction without the stress from two devoted educators who really do care about their students. I take classes from Stephane and private lessons from both Stephane and Emma. A great new asset for Portland.
