In an area with so many bakeries to choose from this little shop on Colorado Blvd. stands out with a great selection of tasty european treats. I had the almond croissant and the raisin pastry and they were both amazing. The owner is obviously very proud of his shop and it shows.

A hidden gem in plain sight. Excellent bakery. The owner is delightful and the place smells just wonderful upon entering. Excellent eclairs. Their croissants are usually can't miss.

The baked goods are lovely to look at and smell terrific, but do not taste especially good. They are not flakey, nor buttery. None of the four of us ate more than a third. We have much better bakeries in our neighborhood and we’ve all travelled a lot, so we have a strong basis of comparison. By the high standards of most restaurants in Pasadena, this doesn’t measure up. Grocery store counter quality. Too bad. The store is so pretty and so are the baked goods. We shan’t be going back.

Hands down the best French style bakery in Pasadena. Actually it's the best bakery, period. One day I decided to do a croissant taste test so I bought croissants from FrenchiFornia, Seed, Europane, and Starbucks. I warmed them in a 350 degree oven for 5 minutes. My wife who didn't know which was from where, said that FrenchiFornia was the best and I agreed. And Starbucks came in last. The picture below shows three of the four croissants I was testing. We also love their ham and cheese croissant sandwich. They use comte cheese and some French ham that makes it taste unbelievably good and unique. Get it hot, or not heated to take home and heat it up. My heating instruction: 5 min in 350 oven, then 15 sec in microwave to melt the cheese all the way.) The owner once suggested a Kouign-amann (its a sweet croissant style pastry from northwestern France) and it was amazing. Apparently it's very hard to get it right and they get it right. Everything they do is amazing, and the two owners, who are very French, are very friendly and lovely. Also, I find the request on the chair hilarious. I guess that's how it sounds with a French accent. :)

Hello all ! For my wedding we asked FrenchiFornia to make us a croquembouche and I can tell you we had no leftover at the end of the party even if there were 3 puffs per person. They first made us taste the puffs, we had 3 puff choices and 2 filling choices, we picked to have all of the choices. They took care of the delivery, make sure it will fit in our fridge, make sure it will be pretty and matching the wedding colors, and make sure it will be delicious ! Thank you FrenchiFornia for your great service and gorgeous and delicious croquembouche.
