When things are normal they do lovely Masses and the place is beautiful. Now, Sunday & Saturday Vigil Masses are still outdoors, AND WE MUST BRING OUR OWN CHAIRS! Someone who is mobility-impaired is not going to be able to walk AND DRAG a chair from wherever they park. It shuts out a whole group of people from Sunday and Saturday Vigil Masses. They need to do what is done at the local Orthodox Church: limited INDOOR attendance as per law, first-come-first-served or with reservations, but with chairs set up outdoors (at St John's it would be where they already hold Masses) for the overflow. Surely some church group such as Knights of Columbus could handle that! When things get back to normal, if ever, I'd give it 5 stars, but for now......

Beautiful cathedral. I wish the doors were always open like when I was a little kid. I feel the church has shyed away from open doors and are being led by fears. Open your doors and step up security if you have to. I miss walking into a church at any given time and by the amount of people that go to your door only to find it's locked, I'm not alone.

I have been a member of St. Johns all my life. The Church is so beautiful, and so peaceful. I'm only sorry that a few had to mess it up for all the rest of us who could go there everyday anytime we needed to be with \GOD\ and to pray. Now the doors are closed, except for masses. I still go and do my praying on the steps of the Church or at the end of the of the Avenue of Saints. At the back of the Church. This place is very beautiful too.
