Reedy Creek is a wild little creek that runs through the ancient dunes of the Lake Wales Ridge State Forest. The water level can fluctuate with the summer rains and droughts of winter so you'll have to time your trip. There can be downed trees so you may have to portage in spots. The creek flows into Arbuckle Lake where you can paddle north to the Polk County campground where there is a nice dock and boat ramp. Update: After Hurricane Irma the creek became all but impossible to paddle. Many trees down with difficult portages.
