I've never experienced better service and overall friendliness. This is my new Home Depot now. Everybody seems to know their stuff and I never feel like I'm without help if I need more info on a product or service. From garden to lumber and to the friendly checkout it's easy and enjoyable to get the things I need for whatever my latest project is.
Every spring and summer and some of fall I end up here for plants, flowers, veggie plants, trees and shrubs. The prices are about average for these items. What I really like are the sales on mulch in early spring. It's usually 5 bags of colored mulch for 10.
Needs to have a little bit more assistance especially on weekends and Wednesdays through Fridays other than that good Old Reliable Berlin Home Depot!
Go to lowes nearby on rt 73 N instead! Lowes has much better customer service and the store is cleaner. I live close by so have gone into Home Depot several times always to be disappointed. Sometimes it smells like mouse feces near the bird food. And most of the time I am greeted abruptly by the employees. Today I went in to get a propane refil for the grill and tulip bulbs. I brought my two year old and three year old with me. Upon entering the store the customer service employee said I couldn't bring the cart I was using to carry the heavy propane tank into the store. I didn't understand this because I have used the flat cart many times prior in this store. Next I was off to get tulip bulbs and trying to keep two toddlers close by. Two of the employees pushing carts of flowers told me I had to get out of their way. At this point I was ready to dump anything i was holding and leave the store Finally I check out and am told to wait outside a few minutes for the new propane. After five frustrating minutes of waiting I flag down an employee who takes her time grabbing another employee to walk over. I asked if he had the key for the gas. He keeps walking by and all I heard him say was "no" as he went inside. He came back with the key but when I explained my frustration with my experience he brushed me off stating that he had been there for 17 years and was never rude to anyone. Stongly recommend you find a better store. There are many that will provide the same service with better treatment.
