The food is SO GOOD! The Tipico (essentially a sampler platter of main dishes) is delicious and gives newcomers an idea of Salvadoran specialties. The pupusas are perfectly made; the curtido (cabbage slaw on top of the pupusas) has exactly the right blend of vinegar & pepper, the plantains with black beans & sour cream are the perfect accompaniment to the meal. This place is 35 minutes from home and worth the drive for me. If you've only eaten Salvadoran food from that chain restaurant that starts with a G, you are missing out and should try here.
