Terrific service. Quick, a few days. Was notifed by phone as to problem options and.cost. came to pick up Answered all questios, did not rush. Name was Chris. 1st young man. At drop was excellent. Don't know his name.

Eric from the LQ Geeksquad was awesome (5 stars) for our washer repair. He was very prompt, courteous and informative. Getting the appointment, however, required 5 phone calls, speaking with 7 agents, and being stood up one time. Geeksquad's phone customer service is atrocious. I would never sign up for one of their plans (we were using the manufacturer warranty for today's service). I'd rather pay for a repair on my own then have to go through the torture again of scheduling through their system. No one on the phone wants to truly solve a problem. If they are unable to help, they tell you to call back, or transfer you to another person who unwittingly picks up the line (and then you have to start all over again). The GS phone reps should learn some customer service skills from Eric and his coworker Salvador (who called to confirm my appointment 3d prior).
Not very good at doing their job
They are the worst! I signed up for their 1 year tech support service for 1 year at a cost of 199.99. I needed tech support for a Microsoft Office problem. They said a tech person would log on to my computer in 3 hours. The tech person logged on and did not fix the problem. So I called back and then they said it would be another 3 hours till a tech person could call me again to fix the problem. Well its now over 6 hours and I am still weighting. Poor quality of service and poor service. I feel like I wasted 200 bucks since I spent over nine hours of my time waiting for nothing.
It was a waste of time. I went to get my airpods checked out and was helped by a young gentleman, but he wasn't any help at all. He told me that my airpods needed an update (which I've never heard of) and that they needed to be updated by an iPhone (which I don't own one). He told me that he couldn't do the update himself because they were going to close in 30 minutes and sent me home with a set of instructions. I could've googled it myself. I would give them a -5 if I could.
Rude and unprofessional. We are cancelling our subscription, and will NEVER set foot in that Best Buy again!
They don’t answer the phone when I had an emergency
On 2 separate occasions (one was yesterday) I took my computer in and was told that somehow I had lost all my data going back to 2103. I was told that they would need a week and many billable hours to assess what was wrong and that they may not be able to recover my data. I left my computer there late last year - they said they could not recover my data so I took my computer back. A friend told me about a computer repair place here in La Quinta so both times I took it there and both times, within a matter of minutes (the first time) and seconds (the second time) they found all my current data. Seems I simply had 2 accounts and was logged into the wrong one. I will never use GEEK SQUAD again. BTW, both times I was told I had lost all my data, it was the "same" Tech who said he could not retrieve my data without extensive diagnostics (and I am sure, billable hours).
