Really grateful for David Heck, Kent, John and his staff. We treat our Student Apartment Community to a Ghost Walk twice a year during October but 2020 did it's dark magic and I felt haunted by how we could coordinate the event this year. With the help of the Black Cat Shoppe, we were able to have a safe and exciting experience. We've been on many tours now with many guides and never have we left feeling disappointed. David Heck was our most recent guide and he was FANTASTIC. I felt like I was witnessing the 100 year old crimes with my own eyes in some locations because his theatrics and involvement was so keen. His tales were engaging and interesting, I heard new details about classics and plenty of stories I haven't heard before. The banter between locations was worth the tickets alone. Suspicious lights flickering, visits from local wildlife, and shadows of the night made our most recent tour our most memorable, David truly has a connection to the spirit world. Wearing masks was no big deal, there were lots of places to stop and catch our breath and going on a weekday provided the safest experience I've had, there were almost no cars on the road or loud groups of people to avoid. Thank you for the incredible experience, David, Kent, John, and everyone else at the BCS. We will continue to recommend a Ghost Walk to all the visiting relatives of our residents!

The Wilmington Ghost Walk in association with the Black Cat Shoppe was not a bad tour, however it is not really scary. We were under the impression we would be entering haunted locations under supervision of a guide and that may be our misunderstanding, but it's one that I feel I should clarify. If you are from Wilmington it would be a much more interesting tour as it provides some rich history of legends from the area. The most redeeming quality from the tour was our guide Rebecca, she did a great job and was very animated and passionate about the information she was presenting. Lastly, I think the price point of 20 per person was pretty steep.

I'm sure this would have been a great time had we had a different tour guide. Steve started our tour by asking for tips and proceeded on taking us on a high speed chase through downtown Wilmington. There were several people who just stopped walking and started exploring on their own. It's the first time I've ever paid 40 to workout while on vacation. He literally seemed \hopped up\ on something if you catch my drift. Beautiful town... Just take the tour with anyone but Steve.

Amazing experience! If you have a few hours in the evening, grab tickets and go! This tour gives you real ghost stories that have been documented and a great history lesson of the area. I've been several times and the guides take different routes to give you a different experience each time. The guides are all wonderful! They dress up in characters and the stories are loud and clear. I look forward to going on this tour every time!
