I'm currently working as a scribe with Scribekick. This is a great company that prepares you well for the job. The training that they provided has given me extensive knowledge that has helped me stay up-to-speed with the the physician I work with, and it has also given me knowledge that will help me stay ahead in med school. Working as a scribe is my first full-time job and Scribekick has made it very pleasant. The \higher-ups\ are very kind and have checked on me periodically to see how I'm doing. That kind of care makes you want to keep working with someone and it makes you feel like more than just an employee. I'd recommend this company for anyone who is looking to get started with scribing without any struggle or stress. -Jimshad FW

I interviewed for the virtual scribe position this past week. The interview consisted of two rounds. The second round assessed candidates ability to write HPI notes. The HPI information given prior to the interview and during the interview was very inconsistent. This left me feeling unsure as to what to follow when writing up the HPI. During a scenario, family history was given. I didn’t include family history in the HPI, which was the main focus of the interview activity. Family information is stated in other parts of the SOAP structure. However, I was told to include it because “the more the better”, according to one of the editors of my HPI note. I did not get the position even though I have experience as a scribe. If you are a prehealth student, I highly recommend getting your clinical experience from a hospital or a legitimate health institution. The inconsistency in medical terminology and “SOAP” structure during the interview made me question the credibility and the overseers of this business. Good luck to all. Thanks scribekick for giving me the opportunity to scribe.

I've been working as a Chief Scribe for Scribekick for the past 8 months and have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far. My position has allowed me to train new scribes and help roll out a lot of neat changes to help improve communications between management and our team of scribes. Above all, Scribekick has provided me with the unique opportunity to work in a variety of specialty practices and utilize several different EMRs, which has given me the exact type of experience I was originally looking for. Management is also really great about providing flexibility with hours and school interviews. I certainly do not miss night shifts as an ER scribe! Overall my time at Scribekick has been a valuable experience that will certainly be useful for medical school down the road.
