I was not satisfied because I called the rental and they said they had a truck available. When I showed up 45 minutes later somebody was signing the paperwork and I was unable to get the vehicle. I had to put the load off until the next day which is Saturday I hope they have a truck available when I get there Saturday they will not let you reserve one!

This is a typical home depot usually, most of the time you get out of there with little to no interaction with staff. If you ask for help it's a 50% chance of getting helpful info. The rental department I doubt I'll use again. I needed a rototiller, they wouldn't give me the appropriate sized tiller, I'm a bit on the tiny side but I can solid and I can manage. I was on a limited time as I had to get to work and didn't have ti.e to argue the matter anymore. The tiller did not do the job, they offered me credit towards the appropriately sized tiller but not on a different day and it was due to rain all week. So, my project is half done and I wasted time and money.

I had rented a pallet jack for 24hrs. I had arrived at 10am or so to pick it up. I had worked all day and was on my way back that same day to return it before the store closing at 10pm. I ran into road construction and was going to end up arriving at the store at 10:00pm on the dot (according to my gps). I called the store and asked if I were to show up right at 10pm could they help me out as I needed to return it so I would not have to travel 4 hours the next day, etc. The guy in the tool rental, Paul, said no as he leaves at 10 and the system shuts down so I would have to come back tomorrow. I begged him to please give me an extra minute (10:01) and he said no. Then he said that even if I show up at 10pm and 10 seconds it's a no go. I hung up and called back and spoke to a lady who said she could not help me either. I told her I was driving into the parking lot as we spoke. She said ok come to the front door. There were a bunch of employees still there working. A guy named Ben opened up and greatfully helped out and told me to bring the pallet jack in and that he would close the ticket out- no worries. Ben should run the store. Ben should train these other employees there. I will not come back but would hire Ben in a heartbeat. BEN YOU ROCK!! You listened and you saved me an additional 4 hours of drive time. You understand that things happen. Thank you Ben!!!!

I called the store 1 week in advance to ask about their truck rental. I asked if i could make a reservation and was told the store does not do reservations. I was told that it was on a first come first serve basis. I then asked what time the store closes and was told 10 PM. We laughed when i said id have the truck back way before then and i would be trying to pick up after 7. No problem he said and we hung up. A week later i go to pick up truck from the store, wait in line and get to the counter (7:38 pm). I was then informed that i can rent a truck but it have to be returned by 8pm. I have several people waiting WITH ME in the store so we can move my furniture and im just hearing about this now! Why wouldnt anyone have told me this when i called?!!!!!?? I made plans based on the word of an employee and was lied to and misled. I didnt end up finding another truck for an hour but eventually rented on from Lowes.
