I LOVE THIS PLACE! I was in the building having a CT scan and ended up immediately having chest pain, hives, stabbing pain, a shaking body, and had my fingers turn blue. It was my first time having contrast and I was allergic. It was so scary BUT IT WAS OK! Right away the radiologist got the urgent care doctor Dr. Clymer over right away along with the in house nurse and paramedic and a couple other people I didn't even have time to process their designated titles. I was scared and couldn't see the doctor's face because of his mask but Dr. Clymers eyes smiled at me. He gently and professionally touched my shoulder and said I would be okay. The paramedics inserted my line without any pain. The nurse immediately got meds into me. I was wheeled to a room and my vitals monitored and the doctor himself assessed me. THE DOCTOR TOOK THE TIME TO POSITION MY BED AND GIVE ME BLANKETS because I couldn't stop shaking and it wasn't even something I asked for. I'm an RN, BSN with about 10 years experience with education in process to be an NP but never mentioned I was a nurse. I just needed to be the patient then and I felt totally comfortable giving this team full control. Their relationship dynamic, friendliness towards me, calm demeanor and perfect technical skills is the best I've ever seen. I felt so lucky I almost cried! In all my years of being a nurse I've never seen a doctor do anything \below his pay grade\, i.e. get a patient ANYTHING EVER even in inpatient hospice settings. Dr Clymer was such a nice surprise! When I thanked the doctor for making me feel better he laughed and nonchalantly said, \well that's what we are supposed to do.\ True... But that doesn't mean it will necessarily happen. It's nice that this doctor feels great care is the standard and not the exception. I'm actually glad that this event happened because it was such an inspiring experience to be around such a great team.

I am so grateful that I live close to this facility because the care I received here has been phenomenal. In the past few years I've needed Immediate Care services maybe 4 times for myself or my partner. The staff at this location are always wonderful. Everybody we interacted with (from those working at the front desk, to the nurses, the physician assistants, and the doctors) was friendly, approachable, professional, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. The building itself is beautiful, but it's the people inside it that matter most. I wish I could say thank you to each and every person who I had the pleasure of interacting with at the DuPage Medical Group Immediate Care Center in Glen Ellyn because they really made a difference. I wanted to add a special thank you to Ondria (who helped us on Monday and Wednesday this week). I agree with one of your co-workers that you are \a ray of sunshine.\ Your enthusiasm and positive energy was infectious (the good kind of infection).
