Sadly there is little comparison to the COVID CARES related financial and job resources provided by the City of Phoenix in comparison to the Glendale CAP office. If others are struggling, and still not getting help please contact your district representatives and push for help. Then be sure to vote elected officials that act for the benefit of their constituents instead of just talking about it. One may even have a quicker response by seeking Maricopa County resources.

I feel the Glendale community action program deserves 5 stars. They have helped me in the past and the staff was so nice and friendly. Went above and beyond to help me. There are requirements that you have to bring so they can see if you are eligible for the program. They are very fair and everyone has to bring the same information. Anyone who rates the program bad did not qualify or bring what was needed. Thank you everyone for being so kind and helping me when I really needed help!

The people who work there are so kind and are there to help you when you need it. Thanks to them my SRP bill and utility deposit has been paid, and I don't have to face disconnection with a disabled brother and senior mom. I hope more funds can come to them, to assist more families in need and bless those people that work there. Thank you for all that you do.

Let me state for the record that I'm an educated woman (Masters) only seeking assistance due to an unforeseen loss in income due to my agency losing funds... I wasn't looking for a free handout just because... I've paid into the system for over 30 years, so to be treated as a minimal human was very irritating. The one blonde lady at the front desk is ALWAYS super sweet but the lady with the black hair acts as if she's better than and looks down upon those in need. She didn't want to speak and it instantly got me in a mood. Just rude! This was my SECOND appointment because they are far more strict with paperwork and dates than DES. I was HONEST in everything I've earned both times I've went... The second time the worker called to verify my employment which I had no problem with. My Sup told her I had a partial check prior to my actual start which was a 4 hour training which occurred almost 4 weeks ago which I honestly forgot about and WAS my fault and I take blame. This check however would've STILL put me way under the income qualification for 30 days. I was asked to come back AGAIN which meant I would need to call on Monday, wait for a call on Tuesday, to GO IN to get an appointment document, and THEN be scheduled. This is a week long process...I was unwilling to come back for a THIRD time... Not even worth it... There has got to be a better process! Even DES has printers on site to print info. But I guess the inconvenience makes people find other means to support themselves... I'm good, I'll figure it out on my own. I do suggest that that lady with the black hair be trained to be kind to those who need... It's not easy asking for support so to be treated like a POS is very disappointing.
