We did an intro to ice climbing day with Dan. It was awesome. SAI sent us a very thorough email in the week before our guided day to give us a heads up on what to expect as well as a gear list that was extremely helpful for a first-timer. Dan was great and gave me an introduction to the gear I would be using and seeing. I felt safe the entire time and Dan made sure it was a fun day.

I am glad we went with SAI for a full day of ice climbing! I took a friend and my boyfriend, who were both climbing ice for the first time, on a full-day custom guided ice climbing. Dan, our guide, took us to a “secret” waterfall and we had the entire place to ourselves. At first, I was worried about who will be our guide but Dan turned out to be a very cool guy. We have learned so much from Dan. He’s definitely psyched to share his knowledge and he taught us the important things we needed to know about ice climbing, from proper form to setting up bomber ice anchors. Dan was very good at explaining in details and the “why” behind each pro tip he’s shared to us. This is only my 3rd season ice climbing and I would have never known some of the things I’ve learned from Dan about ice climbing just by TRing ice with friends. I am definitely going with SAI again for my future ice climbing training and maybe more. I have also recommended them already with friends. Also, if you are a gear nerd, Dan is the man! I’ve already procured new gear because of him. Dan and Scott live and breathe climbing, wether is it on ice or rock. Both Scott and Dan were very responsive and just amazing to speak with as well!

I really admire how Scott and Dan made our experience ice climbing this past winter an incredible experience. Scott went out of his way to pick up rental boots for us. Both Dan and Scott taught my husband and I many ice climbing skills that kept us wanting to learn more. If your looking for a great outdoor experience please check them out! I'm looking forward to doing some outdoor climbing with them soon.
Had an amazing time with an SAI guide on a multi-pitch climb in Rocky Mountain National Park! Dan was super encouraging and kept us on-route the entire time. It was challenging and rewarding and a great way to push my limits while knowing I was always safe.
Thoroughly enjoyed the trip with SAI up the first Flatiron! Dan walked us through each step of the climb and we had a blast the entire trip. They definitely know their stuff and it makes for a safe and enjoyable time - highly recommend!
Dan guided myself and my friend up the 1st Flatiron last week. He clearly communicated what we would need for the climb and answered any questions we had. He was super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient the entire time. We loved every minute of it and hope to join SAI on another climb soon!
