I really need a preface my five-star rating with my generally negative perception of car dealerships. Of the six cars I've bought over the last decade or so, I've never had as good of an experience in general with a dealership as I did today at Gregg Young. Now granted today I didn't have to deal with the finance department because we weren't buying a vehicle. We were actually selling our second car as we are going down to a one car family. Casey Johnson was fantastic! It was very polite fast and efficient. They offered us a fair price for a dealer buying offer. we know it would be tough trying to sell a car when we still had a lean on it but we weren't expecting to get as good of a price as we did at Gregg Young Auto. Even though we live in Des Moines now and it is a bit of a drive to Newton, my wife and I will definitely make sure to remember these guys when we go to buy our next vehicle. I'd like to say thanks also to Brady who walked us through over the phone the process. I'd also like to say thanks to Bob for driving us home and to Gregg Young in general for being so accommodating. Even the front desk lady who was so nice and brought over a coloring book and crayons to keep our 3 year old occupied while we went through all the paperwork. THANKS AGAIN for everything!

My review is of the quick-lane department. I have been coming for a few years for oil changes and tire rotations. This past Friday I bought a brand new set of tires, which with labor was almost 1000. Over the weekend I noticed the tires weren't keeping air, I had to refill the left side twice and the right side 3 times, right rear tire was losing air so fast it was completely flat when I woke up Sunday, the other tires were dropping into high to mid 20s PSI. I had to take half of a day off work Monday to bring the car back in. To me, 4 new tires not holding air means they probably weren't mounted correctly, but they tried to say it was because it was cold outside (my car was parked the entire weekend in my attached garage which stays a pretty consistent 35 to 40 degrees in the winter), so I said I didn't think so. So they rebeaded the tires and so far they are holding air. I was thinking I may get an apology or at least a free oil change or something for all my trouble over the weekend and having to miss work due to the tires not holding air initially, but didn't get even the apology. Accountability means a lot to me, I realize mistakes can happen but the companies that admit their mistakes and correct them are the ones I try to give my business to. Seriously considering taking my business and my wife's elsewhere.
