I have been taking weekly bass guitar lessons from Dwayne for the past two years. I have been playing bass since junior high and have been in non-serious rock ‘n’ roll bands since then (I’m now 60). I wanted to get serious about my musicianship and got what I could over the internet, but realized I needed one-on-one lessons. Fortunately, I found Dwayne. Starting with the rudiments I missed when younger, Dwayne taught me how music is structured which has led to an ability to interpret baselines and to develop my own. He is patient and encouraging but never stops pushing and always seems to know what I need to get to the next step. He’s also a good guy and highly reliable. I’m now in a great band – I couldn’t have done without Dwayne’s guidance.
