After another company failed to engrave my father’s headstone, for eight months after his death, this company was recommended. Less than a week later, the headstone was engraved and it matched perfectly with the other engraving. My sisters and I are so grateful for their service.

On July 17, 2019 we tragically and unexpectedly lost our 24 year old daughter. We knew that not just any headstone would suffice so we began searching for the perfect stone. Through our search we were led to Nelson Monument and I'm so very thankful that we were. Asa and his staff were amazing. So patient, compassionate and empathetic throughout the entire process. I must have emailed him at least 100 times during the design process, going back and forth on decisions, needing every last detail perfect and he always responded with kind and encouraging words. He allowed me to go through this process at my pace, allowing me to take baby steps while grieving the most horrific event a parent can experience. The end result was even more beautiful than I could have even imagined. I will forever be grateful to Asa and Nelson Monument for honoring my daughter and giving those of us left behind the most beautiful piece of artwork for us to display in her memory. We were so very fortunate to find Nelson Monument online while looking for a unique stone for our dad. Nothing ordinary would be sufficient to memorialize such an extraordinary man. We absolutely found the right place and the right people. To say Asa was kind, patient and accommodating would be an understatement. (Did I mention patient?). The process was easy, and the end result was perfect. It’s a gorgeous stone that people will be drawn to. I am beyond satisfied and will absolutely recommend them to anyone who asks. 6 days ago My wife of 57 years went to be with our Lord and Savior on December 23, 2018. I wanted to have our headstone in place before Memorial Day. I started with a monument company closes to my house in January 2019; they were unsure if they could have it in place by Memorial Day. Their customer service was lacking very much and I did not believe them that the marker would be in place on time. I went over to Nelson Monument Company and met Asa and Audra for the very first time. Asa was very helpful when I started to describe what I wanted the headstone to look like. In fact, he made a diagram on the computer as we were talking confirming that we understood each other. The headstone needed to be ordered from another country. Asa told me that he needed 120 days lead time in order to get it in place before Memorial Day (he is a man of his word). During the 120 days Asa worked with me to get all the other details that I wanted on the headstone. He would make a diagram each time showing what it would look like. So when we finished with all the details there were no surprises and when it was in place before Memorial Day it was exactly what we had talked about. To say that Asa and Audra were patient, compassionate, kind and caring with me and about what they do is such an understatement of who they are that I am unable to put it into words. To rate their company in stars I do not believe only 5 stars would be fair to Nelson Monument Company. I am so thankful that I have made two more friends in my life.
