We visited this museum in the Miami design district. The owner was a very nice and conversational lady. We purchased this tour on Groupon. The owner showed us the different exhibit features which told a detailed and honestly brutal story of the plight of Haitians from slavery to independence. We were able to have a great conversation about the state of the world today and the huge influence Haiti has had on many black cultures gaining their independence and freedom from oppression. I would definitely recommend this museum gem to anyone visiting Miami that would love to learn about Haitian history. We also purchased a t shirt to patronize the museum.

I didn’t know much about Haiti, beside the generic stuff they teach you about the revolution. This exhibit was very well done. Serge was a very good tour guide. He knew all his information and delivered it in a very candid way. The exhibit is 10 and so worth it. If you love history you should definitely check out this museum if your in Wynwood area in Miami.
Sadly just was not the type of museum I thought it was. It is just a room. Haitian Heritage is so much more and could fill up spaces over 4x of the "museum"(small room) that they have. It is informative but there is so much more that it is lacking.
Miss Eveline is truly wonderful and the trip to the musuem was so informative and overall great experience for me and my organization- Planet Kreyol from the University of Miami! Heard so many great things after the trip from our students on Miss Eveline's expertise!
They went out of their way just to help me achieve my goals and i thank them very much!!
Had a great time! I would advise everyone to go.
Definitely come check it out if you are interested in learning about the rich history of Haiti.
Learned so much about my culture here. A great and memorable experience!!
