I could not recommend this place. I’m not 1 to speak up typically but i had a poor experience here. I was treated in a rude manner but a few members of the staff here. Everyone else treated me w/respect and kindness. The food at the cafe was wonderful and my Dr. was so helpful !!

If you have the option of sending someone you know or admitting yourself to Hampstead Hospital or not, chose not to. I was admitted four times. All four times, extremely displeased and disappointed. Some of the staff were great, had compassion and empathy and they truly cared about you. Most of the staff were greatly insensitive and rude, treating the kids there poorly. I was in Lincoln unit three times, and my fourth admission i was in Washington. They both were not great, but Washington unit was terrible. Completely awful. They did not know how to handle breakdowns or tantrums. They wouldn’t deal with kids in crisis, instead they would watch and observe the pain and hurt these kids were feeling, doing nothing about it. Please please please DO NOT send anyone here. You will be unsatisfied.
Hampstead Hospital is a wonderful place. The staff are top level, extremely knowledgeable and caring. The food was good and plentiful. I found it to be one of the best experiences of my life and I would/will return there if I have a relapse. Counselors....you guys rock!
Treating patients in a rude manner will not be tolerated. It's clear to me that Hampstead Hospital has not learned this yet. 3 different members of your staff treated me this way during the course of my stay. Just because u r busy or overwhelmed does not give u a right to treat me like dirt.
I was given a midnight snack to help have something in my stomach for some medication. Even that was really good.
