Ordered a new scooter on Feb 12, 2020. We still haven't received it. My husband has gone to the business in person and called multiple times. The sales lady has returned a few calls but denies being able to give a refund or handle this situation. She says only the owner can and that she has notified him multiple times that he needs to contact us. The owner has not called us back one single time. The interesting part is that we called the manufacturer and they never received the order. The check for over 1600 was cashed by the owner, but the manufacturer said they never received the order. You can bet the van house will be hearing from a lawyer. I want my money back. Edit...after we contacted a lawyer, the sales lady was finally \able\ to get a refund check from the owner and returned our money. Edit...we ordered the same scooter online and got it for 1,200 instead of 1,600. It arrived in less than 2 weeks.
It has been 5 months since we have given you half for the stairs and would like to know if you plan on returning the money we gave you as an down payment 1700.00 check #9881. Even with cova 19 I would think that this should have been taken care of so please return my down payment. All this is because of the death of my wife and the van house delaying installation of the stair lift.
Doug, the owner excepted a used stairlift to sell on consignment in March 2019. Since September 2019 he will no longer return my calls so I can check the status. His staff refuses to answer the phone when I call, they most likely have caller ID. I have written the BBB and filed a complaint as well as the attorney general of Virginia and Doug has not responded to them. As I see it, he sold the stair lift and chose to keep our percentage. Beware of this place, no honest business would act this way. If he had nothing to hide he would return my calls.
Originally, was a little upset over some honest misunderstandings but Doug saved the day, called me explained the situation.....Awesome!!! Not many owners would care enough to call you to correct the situation!!!!! Thank you, Doug for your thoughtfulness and willingness to help the customer....
