I have a set of Hartstone Garden Market coffee mugs that I purchased in 1983 from Williams and Sonoma that I've used almost every day. I love them -- they're beautiful, hand-painted, and incredibly well-made. I was so sad to see the company go out of business. It's a really old charming factory in Janesville, Ohio, which few people know was a historically important ceramic manufacturing center in America due to the large deposits of high quality clay in the area. I am so glad that Hartstone is back in business. The new mugs are gorgeous and the same quality and handmade look as the old ones. These are my go-to housewarming gifts.
