My experience at South Suburban was very much needed and welcomed. I already knew what wasn't working for me and realized I wanted to understand myself better. The greatest achievement obtained was that of freedom. It's not about how horrible the food is, waking up at 6am, not being able to smoke or talk to females. For me it's about taking charge of my life, learning control and self discipline, being responsible and gaining independence. Thank you for caring enough to show me how to get there.

I've been to this place twice the first experience was better for me then the second experience the food was okay the second experience I had there it did seem like more of a holding place for prisoners I had some issues going on in my life at the time and never could talk to my mental counselor a lot of people are just there because they have to be there I'll go to jail I was there to get help did not get it so I left they need to restructure how they go about accepting people not just for the money people that are court-mandated don't want to go to jail and come there and B on other things besides recovery they need to watch that they don't get better counselors to I wouldn't go back until they get a better structured program

Groups were nice. Expressive Art Therapy was Cool! In retrospect, my inpatient experience at The Council went by fast and was painless.
