I have been to the museum a couple of time since we moved hear in 2019. Went to the sweethearts special last night it was great. So great infact I got home from the event and joined the museum. The volunteers and staff are so happy and welcoming. It looks to be a great run organization that I would like to be part of. I belonged to a transportation museum back in New York and helped with track work for the trolley system. Really miss it. So hopefully this will fill that void . Thanks again for a great time Heart of Dixie Railroad museum .

Went on a sweetheart train ride partnered with a wine tasting at Ozan winery. Even taking COVID precautions, we had a wonderful experience. Courteous people and a very enjoyable night. Thank you!

I can't tell you how many times I've visited this location throughout all my years. My first visit when I was in school, in elementary, and it's grown up with me. Now, my kids have gone, and it's as special to them as it is to me. Their events are exceptional, and are often tied into the local business in someway or another. It's perfected for children, but a blast for adults, too. Facilities are always clean and the gift shop is perfectly organized and coordinated.
We had a fun time seeing the old trains and riding in the old CTA rail car. They also had other train cars and an open car. They have the old steam train from the Birmingham zoo.
