Beware - purchase elsewhere. I purchased a Garmin Transducer from Hodges Marine. They were roughly 20 cheaper then others so I said what the heck, save 20. Well, I thought I purchased a new transducer but that isn't the case. The box it was shipped in was banged up and the bottom of the transducer had scratch marks all over it. Pics attached. I asked for a replacement and Hodges Marine wanted me to pay for the return shipping. Why would anyone pay for return shipping when the product they shipped was not in brand new condition. They claim it was but you decide from the pics. Caution to others using this place as I would stay clear.

I can't remember the first time I stumbled across Hodges' web store but I am glad that I did! Hodges has the absolute best prices around and with free shipping there's no need to go anywhere else. If they have it in stock and you order before the deadline displayed on the product page, it always gets shipped the same day and in many cases it's delivered the next (to Maryland). The one time I had to return something, the return process was easy and the customer service was exemplary.

I've purchased a number of products (trolling motors, sonar, cabling, mounts) from Hodges Marine. I had to call them once for information about a Helix unit and found them to be knowledgeable and truly helpful. Their prices are competitive. Shipping/order processing is fast and unlike others, they have not punished me for becoming a customer by sending me SPAM every single day. Keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep coming back.

So far very mixed experiences. Ordered a year ago I’ve 1000 worth of stuff. Fast delivery no problems. Now for a simple warranty issue I’ve been waiting for over 5 business days for a response. Called and the representative was rather unprofessional. Answered “Uh Hello?” When I nicely explained the situation their first response was ‘oh no we can’t help.’ (The product carries a 5 year warranty replacement was already authorized by the manufacturer). Nicely explain that exchanged must be made where the product was purchased. And silence.... rustling... silence then after or 3 mins a meek ‘we’ve opened a case, watch your email, it’s going to be a few days before you get a response’. So for the moment very neutral but I’ll buy my products elsewhere and until they give me a reason to change my mind.
