This little lake has become very special to me... it is very close to my home, and there are wonderful little hiking trails that are very easy for all ages and fitness levels. Always a gorgeous sunset here... quite a little gem.

Wonderful little site. Lots of good short hikes and just full of birds and butterflies of all sorts with photo ops galore. There's even a sizable pond for those hardy souls who fancy a swim and a visitor centre with a very good selection of field guides and other books.

A July evening here was one of the most productive birding outings I can recall. The trees were exploding with feathered splashes of color.
