A very wonderful place to stay. The owners, Russ & Jill treat you like family.

We just started our first time as seasonal campers and we are thrilled. The staff is awesome and helpful. Jill, Russ, Billy and the others are there to help and offer suggestions. The campgrounds are older but well taken care of and beautifully shady. We decided to start seasonal camping here after only one trip on Fourth of July weekend. The campers around are friendly and always waving to you welcoming you. We brought our 10 year old nieces this week and they loved the pool, the show about nature and animals, and night time fire talks. They kept saying on Saturday they didn’t want to leave. We are looking forward to many memories being made here.

Not our kind of place. Very inconvenient location. Not even a grocery nearby. Small RV sites. Poor infrastructure: water pressure, hook ups. Roads and pads are dirt. If you're wanting to go camping and stay put in the campground, this may not be a bad place for you, but if you're sightseers like us and like to go and do... this is not your spot. We are full timers and have enjoyed many great campgrounds (OBX in Kill Devil Hills & Black Bear in Florida, NY to name a few) but this is not one of them. We won't be back.

Had reservations and when we got there, they said our truck was too big! Seriously!? On a weekend no doubt, 3 hours away from home, tolls, and we told them how big our rig was when we booked the site. One person suggested to bring our camper down with a tractor and the guy said it’s too much trouble!! REALLY!? Ok, so it was their fault for booking us when they can’t accommodate our rig and we are stuck on a weekend trying to book another campground. RUDE RUDE and beyond helpful at all. How is that ok to say they don’t want to bother with the trouble? I do not recommend this place and can’t due to not even apologizing because we told them the size of our camper. We were in a group of three campers. A toddler, dogs, now have to drive another 4.5 hours to the nearest campsite Available.
