COVID-19 continues to be TOP OF MIND for the entire world and we recognize that the guidelines and Emergency Orders have disrupted our normal course of business.  Despite the disruption, Khani & Auerbach continues to be committed to having awareness about the stress and impact of this crisis, as it evolves, all while maintaining support and consideration for our clients and customers.  We have continued to remain open, but have modified our work environment.  Take note that some of our staff works remotely and some are in the office, but we are doing our best to provide the same professional service you expect from Khani & Auerbach. In an effort to remain open for those who need our services, we have implemented the following measures, effective immediately: We are not holding in-person client meetings inside our offices; All Client Consultations and Meetings will be conducted via telephone or virtual meeting only during this time; For Transactions Settlements and Closings, we will address them on a case-by-case basis to determine the best possible way to execute these documents.  If a face-to-face interaction is required in order to effectuate a transaction, we will do so via CURBSIDE, under a tent in our office parking lot.  When permitted (and in an effort to avoid face-to-face transactions), we can conduct transactions via Remote Online Notarization (RON). Please note that while Khani & Auerbach is prepared to conducted these signings remotely, most lenders are still not ready to move in this direction. WE ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDING THAT YOU SPEAK WITH US BEFORE YOU SIGN A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OR SALE OF REAL PROPERTY.  IF YOU ARE SEEKING TO BORROW MONEY FOR THE PURCHASE, BE SURE TO CHECK WITH THE LENDER BEFORE YOU BEGIN A NEW RELATIONSHIP TO DETERMINE IF THEY ARE CAPABLE OF CONDUCTING AN E-CLOSING TRANSACTION AND/OR WILL ACCEPT REMOTE ONLINE NOTARIZATION; and Communications with our office may be delayed during this time, but we will return all phone calls and emails in a timely manner (as we always have). Our office is implementing these “temporary” procedures to prevent the spread of this virus.
