This trip was courtesy of Atlas Obscure. An international website that has listed obscure places you would not generally find in a travel brochure as places of interest. It is an awesome resource for the adventurer! This day I went to Mt Tom National Park and hiked about 2 miles to the ruins of the Erie Hotel, built in 1860 and burned down at the turn of the twentieth century. A horse crematorium caught fire and the fire spread to the hotel. Well worth the hike. Besides this area, the Park has many trails and a large play area for children. There were a lot of people but everyone was observing covid guidelines. It was a beautiful day.

Great outdoor area to enjoy nature. So many trials. Very well taken care of. Very beautiful view if you go on a clear day

My new favorite! Did the white trail, was the perfect challenge. Cannot wait to go back!

Great outdoor recreation area. Some areas get crowded on weekends with good weather though. Not too bad once you leave the parking areas and avoid the really popular trails.

Great place to go for a hike and go site seeing. Some of the trails are good for a nice peaceful walk. Some are more challenging.
