Larry booked my appointment with Jon. Great experience from the start. Larry is a true class act and immediately makes you feel comfortable. Completely professional and really lightens the mood. Buying my first home has been stressful to say the least, but he made the home inspection a breeze. Larry followed up just two days after my radon test was complete and his cheerful voicemail warranted an immediate callback! As for John, he was completely thorough during the inspection. He starts everything off with reiterating everything Larry described to me over the phone. Jon gave me as much time as I wanted to ask questions about the warranties. As we did our walkthrough, he would give his honest opinion and offer insight on how to fix minor issues. He made sure I saw and understood everything he was looking at. His inspection report was very helpful in going back to negotiate with the sellers. Highly recommend Home Inspector Consultants!

I've used Home Inspector Consultants for multiple home inspections. Most recently, they inspected a home in New Lenox, IL for us. Jonathan did our inspection, and he was fantastic. He was very thorough, going room by room and taking pictures to document anything he found. Our inspection came back with several small-scale issues (Doors that didn't close properly, cracks around windows in basement) and he gave us tips on what we could easily do ourselves, and how to do so. While I hope this is the last house I buy for quite some time, I'll happily recommend Home Inspector Consultants to family and friends.
I've used these guys multiple times now. Extremely thorough, detailed, professional, patient, and friendly. Not over priced in the slightest. And you will have access to the report via their online portal for FOREVER.

Home Inspector Consultants is a professional home inspection outfit that is packed with many years of construction and building knowledge! I had Phil for our inspector, who was on time for the inspection, and we were pleased with his thoroughness and expertise. Phil made sure EVERYTHING was well checked. Phil starts off with what is to be expected, and was very helpful with tips on how to correct different problems with the house, or what to expect for repairs. The warranty you get with the inspection was excellent, and you can add other things for a fair price to give extra assurance. I'd like to also mention about calling the first time to this business. I apologize for not remembering the gentleman's name, however, he was courteous and polite, and explained many of the services that Home Inspector Consultants offers. In the end, we didn't purchase the house, simply because I wasn't as observant as Phil. Very thankful for that! We will be looking for other homes soon, and I will definitely be calling Home Inspectors back when needed again! I HIGHLY recommend this company. In this day and age, you need to be sure of what you are purchasing, and I am positive that Home Inspectors will make the decision that much easier.
