THIS SCHOOL ROCKS!!! tbh the food is really good and lunch is crowded a lot but its ok. the school has really nice, funny people here.and the teachers are so polite and makes learning fun! and its cool how the school have a lot of space. its a good learning environment and a safe fun school for everyone! there can be drama but its fine all schools have that nothing bad at all. all I do is just stay out of it be with my friends and everything will be just fine (:

I think this school is amazing! It gives you a reasonable amount of chances as a student. There are quite a few fights around cafeteria time.. but what school doesn't have that? The staff is very nice, all my teachers have good senses of humor and know how to make learning fun! All the other bad comments I have to disagree with! This school was an awesome experience!
There are 2 clicks at this school or gangs as most people would call them . Jet Life and Savage. There are about 50 kids in jet life. They do torment other children in the school. They take other kids belongings by threat of being jumped by more than one person in the gang. Most of them attend Hopper. This WAS a good area!!!! Not anymore :( When my daughter was transferred from Hopper to Cy Springs they put her in a Sophomore Geometry class. Even though she passed all of her classes and has her credits they were not going to promote her to being a Sophomore because Hopper did not put her in Algebra 1 which is standard for Freshmen. Due to District policy they have to have Algebra 1 credit or they will not be promoted. This is THEIR fault and they wanted me to pay for Summer school or her go back next year still categorized as a Freshman because of their mess up. After a month arguing with Cy Springs the issue was finally resolved. Apparently Hopper transferred a lot of Freshmen into Sophomore classes. So there were a lot more people than me dealing with this.
some of the policies are too strict, also 4 minutes to get to class is way too little. also some of the staff is well but others aren't. the lunch rooms are crowded and so are the buses. and last to say, i hate everyone in this school,and its ghetto asf as said. :/
This is the worst school in the district. The teachers don't create a safe environment for the students. My son has been bullied 14 documented times this year. All in the classroom, not he halls, not the cafeteria, just in the classroom where there is a teacher present. Absolutely nothing has been done to prevent him from getting teased or assaulted. A few weeks ago some black kids were slapping him on the neck to see how red his skin got. Because black peoples skin doesn't turn red!! Right in the classroom!!! Vice principal Kemble doesn't give a crap about the students. Can't even get a meeting with Principal Witthaus. She's too busy planning coffee events. I'm not going to keep going on but just to be clear, this school doesn't even deserve a rating and I will be moving my son to a safer school next year. I would suggest you do the same for your child.
