I called on 5/30/2019 @ 9:32am for a quote to do a Smog test on my 1999 Honda Civic EX and was given a quote of 48 out of the door. When I came to this place at 12:10 pm, guy came out to me, looked at my car and said it will be 96 to smog may car, even though I told him that I called and got a different quote. I was really confused, so I called that same number again and talked to the very polite and helpful woman on the phone which said to give the Tech guy last 4 digits of my phone number. After talking to the Tech again, this time he decided that he can not smog my car because it was \too low\, even though my car has stock suspension and has bigger than original wheels which overall makes it slightly higher than stock. Two minutes later Tech's buddy showed up to do a smog on his car, they started chatting, and completely ignoring me. After talking to the same helpful woman on the phone she told me that I can go to a different Horizon Smog place on El Camino to do my Smog (which had the same ramp and my car did not have an issue getting on it). So if you want shady people like this guy to do anything on your car come to this place. Or if you simply want to get ripped off.
Shop is in an awkward spot on the corner and makes for a tricky maneuver to get in and out but customer service was great and service was quick but to the point. I would recommend.
Just go to the one in citrus heights, the guy that operates this location has issues with any cars that aren't 2010.
Great experience. Jaime was very helpful and thoughtful. I have to use a cane because of my knee. He made me feel comfortable and had the best customer service skills. I will always come back and bring my family. thank you
