My taste buds are still excited. I could smell the fragrance of the food from the moment I stepped into the parking lot. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed that it was elegantly simple and the server was courteous and pleasant. I ordered one of the lamb dishes and it was amazing !!! I would recommend this restaurant to any one who visits Houston and is looking for some flavourful food to eat️️️

We had a take out order on 12/22/20 and were very impressed with the food. Having lived in the UK for three years where Indian food is as plentiful as Mexican food is in Texas, we have learned what good Indian food is like. Surya fits the bill. It’s not a deep menu, which is good, as the offerings are consistent and reliable. Lamb Rogan Josh is outstanding as was the Chanda Sag. The Dal is spicy, but full of flavor. The owner has an English background and knows his food. There are better Indian restaurants in Houston that as significantly more expensive, but the food here is excellent and good value.
Rating is for third party delivery orders. The staff is exceptionally polite, the orders are well packaged and labeled, and the owner is incredibly warm and genuine. I’ve delivered from here at least a couple dozen times since the pandemic started. I live in the apartment building next door so when I go online Surya is usually my first ping half the time. The owner remembers my name and always says hello to me and/or asks how I’m doing. You can tell the true quality of an establishment by how well they treat vendors, delivery drivers and other non patrons. Surya is first class!
Better when the Owner is there. Highly recommend for the excellent ambiance and peaceful lunch.
