I've wanted to be a piercer since I was 14 years old. Finding someone experienced enough to teach me properly, however, had become the number one hurdle in achieving my dream. I stumbled on Ink N This by accident. It was listed as hosting the best piercings in the Washington DC area in the year 2012, so I was intrigued. I finally called the shop and talked to owner, tattoo artist and piercer Dave Obloy. I told him I was discouraged so far in my search for a mentor and asked if there was any way possible he would let me shadow him. And to my surprise he said yes. Dave, a straight-forward and down-to-earth guy, offers piercing workshops for aspiring piercing artists. The fee, 1500, was the lowest learning fee that was ever asked of me for learning, and is asked for to cover the loss of his own earnings for the piercings he offers for free to real clients that act as your hands-on experience. He offers not only advanced knowledge in piercings and the procedures of performing them themselves but also about jewelry and tools of the trade, the sterilization process, and how to act as a responsible artist working in an actual shop. I've learned more than I thought I would in such a short period of time that I'm more confident in following this career path than I initially was when I started with him. Would I do it again? Absolutely. I'll be forever grateful for his offer to teach me for so little. Highly recommended for both his piercings, of which my girlfriend and I have several, and his piercing workshop. This place is amazing, it has a beautiful waiting area and the people are very kind and gentle...also the prices are phenomenal. I will recommend it to everyone I know.
Dave Is Absolutely The Best...got all My Dermal Done by Him..didn't hurt a bit ..he's Gentle And clean..i highly recommend Him to ANYONE check him out..Im going back next Friday for a tattoo cover up
