The food was an easy 4 stars. We had the cumin lamb which was excellent (nice spice level and very flavorful), the Taiwanese beef soup which was solid but not amazing, and the beef wrap which was good but obscenely overpriced. But the wait was a real let down and I doubt we will return because of it. Even though we were only the 3rd patrons of the night, we waited over an hour for our food. This place is good but they need to hire some wait staff.

Probably one of the best Chinese restaurants in CT if not he east coast. you may ask why? For example they used to make their chicken wings first by boiling and cooking in 5 spice seaoned broth and then they deep fry the chicken wings and it comes out crispy and flavorful. Their pork shoulder is amazing better than anything I've have on the west or east coast. But you have to call a day ahead for it.
Iron Chef is OPEN NOW. In order to continue offering low prices on the yummy, authentic Taiwanese and Chinese cuisines, the restaurant is a CASH ONLY business!! Wow. This place is a treasure to coastal CT! Most of the time, I find Asian food too altered for the average American palate, but this is authentic, healthy and affordable food. We ordered beef noodle soup, three cup chicken, double cooked pork, gua bao, dumplings, scallion pancakes, and fried stinky tofu. All delicious. Excellent and friendly service. Cash only. We will be back for more soon.
This is a place making me missing home. Food are really good, very authentic Chinese. Not too fancy, but a great mix of different selection. And felt more like home cooked. A husband/wife shop with no other assistant that day. She would ask:"chi bao la ma?" ; like I was asked at home when I was a little kid. I definitely will make this my to go place for Chinese homestyle food. Great selection if you have kids - my eleven year old loved the dishes. The down side is cash only the day I was in. And though service was quick that day (w three / four tables), I wonder whether you need to wait a bit longer when more people are in like weekend. But that it the case in every busy restaurant.
Wait a bit longer than normal but food is tasty!
Good food, good service. I will come back again if I get chance
Great food. Love it.
