Dined in once about a month ago. Was fantastic. Quickly followed up less than a week later. Was not disappointed. Very consistent between the two meals. Excited to return again. The grilled sardine I can't get off my mind convinced me to write this review.

A small place, especially during Covid, but it was a very friendly restaurant! I'm always worried with Japanese restaurants about the prices but this place was on par with other DFW areas. The sushi was good and I even got my son to eat Unagi (Eel) for the first time. He is now a convert. The lighting was pretty dim which is a thing that often annoys me in many different restaurants. I would recommend the bento boxes for a good variety. We got a sushi box and a Chicken katsu box and shared between us. The food was great and I'll definitely go back in the future despite any environmental problems.
As with most restaurants you gain confidence when you see the ethnic group the food is supposed to be also are customers at the restaurant. However maybe I'm not used to the flavors that are to true Japanese, so for me it was an OK place but not great or fantastic. I don't think I'll visit again but if I do I would not order the Ahi Tower... ...that was a mistake :-(
I hadn't gone here for some time, but was craving some sushi and wasn't disappointed. Called the order in and picked up. Ready on time, and delicious! Posting the one page menu they gave me when I picked up. Hope it will help someone else.
Great little Japanese in South Irving. The fish is very fresh and portions are good. I got the Chirashi Ju half salad and half rice. It was a good amount of food for lunch and came with a cup of miso soup. I highly recommend this sushi spot in S. Irving when you cant get a reservation to Mr. Max for dinner. Really affordable and wont break your bank for a good sushi meal. Just came again for lunch. My dad had the sashimi special 20. You get 4 kinds of fish, miso soup, salad and rice. I got the sushi bento box which also came with rice, soup and salad. Delicious and affordable sushi!
