The shrine is peaceful and beautiful. A great place to pray and recharge. The store has a fair selection of items both religious and tourism related at fair prices. The ride to get there is very scenic and great for motorcycle, bicycle, or car.
I visited the shrine during non-business hours so there wasn't much going on but I was still able to appreciate the beauty of the venue and the peaceful vibe that it exudes. It is located right by the lake and since I visited during Fall, the breeze and the leaves were amazing around the area. It is a small structure with a beautiful gazebo and a chapel with nice benches and pews. It has statues of saints and a couple of altars. It is such a tranquil place, filled with great energy and beautiful scenery.
Made the detour from U.S. 2 to stop here. This is an awesome site and well worth a visit! Father Brian, I believe he said his name was, rushed over to open the shrine after he saw me photographing it with the door closed. All of the staff were friendly, as expected. Great experience!
Great stop on the route. Make to go to the different areas around the church.
