A wonderful adventure. We summited Mount Baker with Northwest Alpine Guides last summer. The guide service is well organized and provided lots of helpful information about gear and logistics prior to the climb. Our two guides Sam and Craig had many years of experience and my girlfriend and I felt safe with well training as we headed towards the summit. The weather was great and it was an exciting day. I would definitely recommend Northwest Alpine Guides for any climb in Washington State. I believe they also offer other international climbs as well.

The five-day glacier mountaineering course with NWAG was executed flawlessly. From the moment I booked, I felt prepared with their information guides, packing lists, and timely responses to questions about gear. At check-in the morning of the course, the guides were extremely professional, attentive, and thorough with gear checks and helping us pack. Coming in as a beginner, I was amazed at the breadth and depth of knowledge the guides covered, and which I walked away with, to include proper crampon techniques, knots, hitches, rope coils, self-arrest, rope team travel, anchors and crevasse rescue systems, rappeling/belaying, and much more. The amount of material we covered enabled the team to successfully summit Mount Baker and put in practice everything we learned. I'm addicted and plan to continue using NWAG/Mountain Gurus for future courses and climbs. The preparation, attention to detail, and dedication to client satisfaction did not go unnoticed. Special thanks to all those who made our experience so positive and successful- Minnie, Dennis, Joseph, Ryan, and especially our 5-day course guide, Terray.
Spent this last weekend with NW Alpine Guides on Mt. Baker — it was the 3 day intro to mountaineering course. It was a wonderful experience! The guides, we had three, were all knowledgeable, attentive, and focused on our safety. The techniques class on Saturday was a great way to see how you’re feeling about summiting and to learn the skills you’ll need. The climb is no joke but with good preparation and great guides, it’s do-able! Sam, Nima, and Doug were awesome! Huge thank you to them for the great experience and safe summit!
Had a fantastic trip up the North Ridge of Mount Baker. My guide Willie was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, and I learned a ton from him. The owner of NWAG went out of his way to get the trip set up based on my schedule when previous plans fell through. Great experience overall.
