We needed to file a stolen vehicle with Will County because it was Stolen from a business in unincorporated Naperville. My husband I met with officers who were dispatched to a BP gas @ Caton Farm Rd and Route 59. After speaking with the first officer on the scene a second female officer arived then officer Nagl the officer Ricobene. This complaint is regarding officer Ricobene showing up last, immediately calling me as a liar. He made several accusations. Told me charges would be filed against me for filing a false police report. In addition he lied about the vehicle being involved in a Robbery and a said the truck had been dumped and to call Plainfield police they had my vehicle it was impounded. Then he said he smelled cannabis coming from our vehicle, do we mind stepping out of the vehicle so it can be searched. This distasteful character is an embarrassment to law enforcement and exhibits all the criteria for creating problems on the scene. Officer Ricobene is problematic and the reason there are so many issues between communities and law enforcement, no one should be threatened or lied to while filing a report.

I got distracted by a sheriff's deputy stopping someone and issuing them a ticket and less than 30 seconds later that same Deputy was behind me with his lights on. He really had to peel out into a U-turn and haul ass in order to catch up to me... he was really reaching for the high score for most traffic tickets written. Obviously there was no warning as clearly this police department needs to raise money for something. Or perhaps they just intended giving themselves a raise at the expense of the working poor. There's absolutely no shame in their game of blatant extortion. I don't have a penny to my name but I was driving through one of the more affluent areas at the time so perhaps that was why the jackass didn't even bother to let me off with a warning. I guess he assumed I had money to burn. Well thanks for the extra expenses and possible points on my license douchebag. Pat yourself on the back for threatening my livelihood.

Very nice and professional officers. They handled my situation pretty well.

At the scene of an accident, just trying to carefully get by along with many other vehicles, and the officer signalling is doing so poorly (and in the dark), screams at us when we thought he signalled to go (we are hard of hearing) and threatens to ticket us. None of the officers were wearing masks, even when coming up to pedestrians and vehicles to speak with drivers.

I spent most of my morning calling around trying to get information about a critical situation. Some were very helpful and considerate while others were just downright ill-mannered, rude and uncaring. I understand they have difficult jobs but sometimes you just really need to service the community in which you were hired to do so.
