Absolutely amazing experience!! Ann was wonderful!! Very educational experience. The animals are beautiful and well cared for . I felt like I was visiting a family member , very welcoming.

This is a really fantastic “hidden gem”. My wife found this sanctuary while searching online. Being an animal lover it was on the top of her list of places to visit. Not only did we get to see LOTS of animals (Buffalo, donkeys , horses, monkeys, birds, rodents, tortoises, ostriches, zebra and many more) but you get to learn their stories and their behavior. I think you leave with a good appreciation for which animals make a good pet, which ones don’t, and how much work goes into a place like this. It’s totally supported by the tour donations (suggested 50 per person) and volunteering efforts. It’s very clear these animals are very well cared for and loved. You also get many up close encounters with them. It was so educational and I left with a great understanding of how these animals think. Definitely worth checking out, it’s very unique.

Amazing, very informative. Loved the tour and the guides knowledge. Each animal has a story and they bring it to life at the ranch. I would recommend and they are up to speed on covid safety. Loved it!

Ann made what should have been a wonderful volunteer experience into a nightmare. She’s verbally abusive, plays favorites with volunteers and doesn’t apologize when she overreacts and uses anger and fear tactics to discipline which is abusive. The sanctuary itself is wonderful but Ann is not the person you want to work with. She will ruin this experience for you. Ann needs a therapist

Ann was an outstanding guide who showed us not just amazing animals but very knowledgeable facts on how animals think and how sometimes our actions which may seem harmless can really affect these beautiful creatures not just physically but emotionally which can be even worst. Thank you again for all you and your wonderful staff are doing to educate and bring awareness to why having an exotic animal as a pet isn't the best idea

Not a petting zoo! This is a learning environment with everything from primates to zebras, also a really nice wolf hound who does like to get a scratch behind the ears. We thought we knew a lot about animals, but learned better ways to approach them then some common misconceptions would have you believe. We got to feed some ostriches and a Buffalo. Most of these animals have had hard lives and are being helped to live happy lives now. Strongly suggest if you are an animal lover and crave knowledge.

Ann, Norm and their team of volunteers take incredible care of all their animals! The ranch is literally in their backyard, which makes for an interesting experience. The layout is nicely balanced for animal comfort and human viewing, and the grounds are very well kept. If you're in the area, it's well worth it to visit! They have a small operation but you get up close to some unique local birds of prey as well as many exotic monkeys, birds, and big animals like buffalo, ostrich, zebras and alpacas. Way better experience than at a bigger zoo.
