They do not accept restaurant.com certificates and their problem/resolution management is non-existent. So, if you do go here, and experience a problem...best of luck! Otherwise, when the food was correct, it was good. But it was certainly not worth the 300(ish). It would have been less but again, they refused my certificate with no compensation.

We chose this restaurant for our special anniversary dinner. The website said that this was an elegant setting with a business casual dress code. However, most of the other guests had on shorts and flip flops and were cashing in their Groupon deals. We arrived on time and were told to wait at the bar. Once seated, we ordered wine and two dinners and asked to have the meals brought one at a time so that we could share, tapas style. Our waitress was accommodating. The lobster bisque was exceptionally good, the salads were fine and we enjoyed the signature wine. That was the end of the positives. Our 85 Crab leg dinner consisted of 3 small 2 inch pieces of crab and two joints, with no drawn butter. Honestly, the entire meal had less meat than one average crab leg from the grocery store. We complained and were offered one free dessert. The steak was OK, but certainly overpriced for the quality. We paid the 250 tab and left a generous tip. No one thanked us for coming, wished us a happy anniversary or said goodbye. We will not be back.

We were so excited to go to the castle for my husband’s 85 birthday.. we did the wine tasting .. it was fun we went on the tour.. it was fun.. we got to the food.. it was terrible.. a steak for 36 and you couldn’t even chew and had to spit it out. The waitress was alright but she lied and said soupnand salad came with it.. so ok . The salad was awful.. the soup was great. I drink wine.. it was 10.. my first glass was a rip off ..I complained.. second glass was great. We were the only people in the room. We waited and waited. I’m so disappointed going here. I got my check it was over 100 way over. I do not suggest Henderson Castle to anybody. It was old and pretty but a complete rip off. Very unhappy ️

We ordered delivery from here to try out a new to us restaurant and help support another local business. What we received felt as if we had been punk’d. The crab cake was burned and dried out. The lobster bisque was so salty you couldn’t eat it. We also ordered the chicken Marsala which should really be called sour cream chicken. The sauce was mainly sour cream and then if you were wanting more you could grab some from the 1/2 cup of pure sour cream they dumped on top. Next up was the beef stroganoff but apparently they were out of beef because we found two tiny little strips. Again with the sour cream, about 1/3 of the dish was smothered with pure sour cream. We then moved on to the pork chop, hopeful, but it was extremely dried out. The mashed potatoes with it tasted like pure black pepper. We were hopeful the desserts would at least make up for the rest of the disaster. We were surprised when we opened and tasted the chocolate cake that it was not made in house, but rather tasted like a cake you’d get at a grocery store. To finish it all off was the chocolate mousse, one of my favorites. It was awful. There was no mousse at all, but rather it was heavy whipping cream with cream cheese and some chocolate. It tasted nothing like mousse. It was our first and last time eating their food. Overpriced and quality is awful.

I had the 65 day dry aged filet. I was really great. cooked to order. I was impressed. I think that this is a better value than Websters at the radisson. the lobster bisque had tons of flavors. This is the best steak in Kalamazoo. However, The bar does need some real glasses. Mason jars are not real glasses.

Total rip off. Ordered two steaks and even pointed to the menu. I picked a steak that cost quite a bit. But it wasn't 100 bucks. Totally got blind sided when the server brought back the bill. They charged us for two 100 dollar steaks and when I asked why I was told that's what I ordered. But it wasn't. And then the server rudely asked for my Groupon. We didn't have a Groupon. I was paying cash. I was staying as a guest at the "castle" and it was an awful experience. I'll never go back. This also happened to someone else I know that went to that chophouse. Beware.
